Relational Supervision
I have offered supervision to doulas and body workers for many years, but in 2019 completed my post grad diploma training in Relational Supervision with Karl Gregory and Sheila Mc Carthy.
I offer a relational approach to supervision, exploring whatever impacts you in your practice with your clients and organisational settings. We don’t work and operate in isolation, and neither do our clients, we are all born into relationship from the first impulse towards form. In that way we inhabit life within the context of relationships, both past and present, and it is this exploration of relational dynamics that can bring a wider and deeper understanding to the work.
Project Mama
I am presently one of the reflective supervisors for Project Mama, which is a charity in Bristol which supports maternity action amongst refugee and asylum seekers.
I believe that giving good attention to forming a strong therapeutic alliance is central to the work, the bedrock of a good supervisory relationship.
About the session
